3.Dome Diffuser

Configuration

The dome diffuser is a circular disc with a downward turned edge. Domes are being made of aluminum oxide. Dome diffuser usually is mounted on either a PVC or steel saddle-type baseplate and attached to the baseplate by a bolt through the center of the dome. A rubber gasket is placed between the diffuser and the baseplate.

Saddles are solvent cemented to the air distribution piping. It is difficult to replace damaged supports but it is easier to level the baseplates. Another choose is the baseplate includes an expansion plug that is inserted into a hole drilled into the air header.

Installation

Domes are usually installed in a total floor coverage or grid pattern. The diffuser are usually mounted as close to the basin floor within 23 cm.
